Our first season lambing, an adventure worth taking. From the breeding season, through to spring lambs jumping in all directions, lambing was something I could not have imagined myself doing 10 years ago. And yet, here we are, learning as we go, with our 5th lambing season just about to begin. 

A mound of freshly sheared wool generates a big idea? Hmmm. Maybe....After the ewes were sheared, we started to investigate how to clean wool – technically called "scouring". This podcast takes you through the process of the production of cleaning the wool from start to finish. What we learned the hard way, and what we discovered along the journey. 

Getting a little better at sheep husbandry, we make a few very impactful adjustments to our lambing adventure. 

Between lambing seasons, we continue to work on establishing the sewing studio where we will begin manufacturing The Sheepish Dog Beds.

Lambing season three is full of suprises. Crazy weather, little grass, magpies and some unexpected, new puzzles to sort out as a result. We're getting better at this lambing thing.

Learning to process the wool for fiber filling was quite the adventure – experiments, lots of sheep dags and a mound of amazing fleece.

In between lambing seasons, we were full-on trying to get the dog bed business to the launch – not an easy task, but an exciting one for sure! Woof!

A lambing season like no other as we are locked down during COVID-19 – lovely weather, lots of lambs and a few unexpected issues.
